In Time By: Devin Cade Through abandoned eyes we see things not worth seeing. With a strained intellect we grow into things, "not while being." And things not in a while, Only by trial, Well worth the leaving. With treasonous hands we touch our mirrored reflections, And admire the opposites outside, "the creation," alternate affections. Through creations a glance Leaves an audience in dance, "the formation," altered connections. With careless hearts we love the hollow shrine and abominate the image, "the blame," "the term," "not mine." Where urgent truancy is finally rewarded absentee, We’ve lost all faith "in time."Back to Devin's Poetry Index
