Jeremy By: Devin Cade Something in my mind keeps bringing me back to you, For wrong and right reasons, Reasons existing, reasons untrue. Why we no longer speak is no big mystery. Yet at the same token shocking, "Considering our history." Brother when was it you lost your grace? Relying on useless ability in unworthy situations just to save face. For a long time your growth stopped and strayed. A lost loyalty for friends, and above all, leaving yourself betrayed. I wanted better for you, and I know I did my best. As a friend, a brother, an extra heart and hand, along your quest. "No matter where anyone goes, they had to come from somewhere." And this is the lesson I’ve learned. Through effort and casually. "Life," with no medals earned.Back to Devin's Poetry Index
