Last Call By: Devin Cade Living it up, in these lights that catch your eyes. Seeing yourself a spectacle, at no one’s despise. You know yourself, and have a confidence unshaken. An uncovered virtue of yourself, untaken. Untaken to the point of the struggle to show everyone you’re "real." Unrestrained with your hands out, simply just to "feel." Although show and feel are two entirely different emotions, when separated, you may find an unlocked version of you, with a new standard of devotions. "Fight and die, live or kill." Seeing a little more true into the situation, as things grow more still. You being to notice an uncanny silence amongst the room. Inside the people and things... a gathering gloom. Then you think everyone is tired, almost desperate for a reason to laugh, yet remaining...Uninspired. The feeling of, the party’s over, it’s time to leave. Time to realize the worth of what you spent, "Your time" to grieve.Back to Devin's Poetry Index
