These Walls of Fire By: Devin Cade
Inside these walls, I am me. The victor and the fool. Inside these walls I am free. Inside these walls I give myself to these passions, Passions so extreme, in not so tell tale rations. Twisting and dangling amongst the good and bad. I sometimes take them with me, on the outside I am sad. For my secrets: Nobody knows, of my inner torment. On my face it shows. Constant contortions of pain, sit steadfast and forever locked within, my expression, it will remain. "Who am I?" "Most would say." Well I know... And for that answer I did pay. Inside these walls, I’ve learned my desire. Igniting every part of me. Inside these walls, I am the truth and the liar. Inside these walls, I have learned, with a soul so churned. That in these same walls, no one else burned. It is inside these walls, my mind’s a funeral pyre. "Burning to be;" Beyond..."These Walls of Fire."
