You’re forever beyond my reach
in my heart and mind
even in my wildest dreams...
How could I have been so blind?
I should have seen it coming,
should have known we weren’t right.
But I refused to go a ‘running,
I decided I’d put up a fight.
I’d talk forever if the words I say
would gently grasp your heart
and make you want to stay...
What made us grow apart?
Was it you or was it me
or maybe a little of each?
Well, it’s easy for all to see,
you’re forever beyond my reach.
