Wings of Destiny
By: JoAnna Martin
I am the dark angel who just got her wings- now in charge of your fate and deaths calling. Its an honorable event that has long been awaited, but recently the enthusiasm has slowly faded. There once was a time when this was all that mattered but a part of me dies for each life I see shattered. Behold, the sad wings of destiny from which I can never be set free! Behold, the sad wings of destiny, I wear them and now I’ll forever bleed! The existence of a soul comes to an end. There is no sympathy or time to lend. We walk along the endless path, where nothing is real, no pain, no wrath. I bring you to your final destination, then silently leave you in desperation. Behold, the sad wings of destiny from which I can never be set free! Behold, the sad wings of destiny, I wear them and now I’ll forever bleed! No longer can the written words be read. No voices to hear except those of the dead. Immortal, I watch the mansions crumble upon the hill, centuries gone and I walk that silent path still, seeing civilized cities lost in time beneath raging fires, a cataclysmic end to all dreams and desires. Behold, the sad wings of destiny from which I can never be set free! Behold, the sad wings of destiny, I wear them and now I’ll forever bleed!
