VAMPIRE BRIDE You ripped my heart, I cut my wrist, I'm torn apart, You can't resist, All the urges, All the pain, You feel the surges, In my vein, You smell my fear, I wish to die, You hold me dear, I start to cry, You hold my life, In your hands, You offer me, The promise land, An eternity, By your side, The certainty, That I'll never die, You bite my neck, And drain my blood, The living dead, Misunderstood, I'll serve my place, By your side, And you'll call me, Your vampire bride. SAVING YOU FROM THE DEATH I CAUSED I will only complicate you, There's nothing left of me, I only live to hurt you, Beware of what you see, I meant it when I said I loved you, I'll take you down with me, I don't want the pain for you, It will seep away from me, I will be a reminder to you, Look what it has done to me, I don't want this life for you, Turn and walk away from me. I have been drawn to darkness, Clouded from the light so long, Nothing left but a broken carcass, Destined to live a life of wrong, You are like a bleeding flower, Beautiful yet so innocent, I will break you sooner or later, Leave you with your petals bent. RECKLESS I walked to the steps, Bent down on one knee, Looked at the structure, Built for all to see, I could have entered, But they say that I'm damned, Upon my entrance the place would burn down, In my peril a young boy came, He asked me my problem, He asked me my name, He looked at my face, And that's what did him in, My problem was his, and my problem is sin, I walk to the door, I look upon the glass, I see the pews set up for an early Sunday mass, I look to the cathedral ready for prayer, The sight so overwhelming I can't help but stare, I see a man of heavenly grace, He sees me watching horridly out of place, He comes to my side and asks me "dear child, How would you like to talk for a while?" In his haste to bring me inside, He overlooks the tinge of red in my eye, I answer him with father, "Do you know what it's like to die?" I think he then knew the mistake he had made, One that could lead him straight to his grave, But I had no reason to end this mans life, He was one that could set it all right. "You are the one plaguing this town, You are the reaper which often astounds, You are the sinner with blood on her hands, You are fearless, what is your demand?" "Oh father, you know what I could end, Your life is that of a puppet only saying Amen, You'll answer me this, and then I shall go, On the myth of vampires what do you know?" "They are from satan, the demons of fright, They parish in the day, and live by the night, They fear the cross, and drink human blood, They die by fire, and a stake made of wood." "But what of they're existence you petulant old man, From what are they made, I don't understand. Are we reapers of despair, creatures of hell? I wouldn't know my sire didn't tell." Before he could answer I heard a slight sound, From outside the door that brought me around, The body of the boy has surely been discovered, Now the priests knowledge could never be uncovered. I fled from the church into the night, I spoke nothing to my sire of my foolish plight, Forever a mystery held in an ungodly light, The chance to know myself forever out of sight. HAVEN'T YOU HEARD? BLOOD'S THE NEW BLACK. Kiss my lips and tell me goodbye, Take all of your sorrows I'm drowning in lies, You never gave me a reason, so let me ask why, Was I everything that you came to despise? I'll hide my face in the darkness of night, To scare the kiddies that put up a fight, A modern day Ripper, whose mask is too tight, I am the darkness, but it seems you've found light. Alone in the alley no creed but a plan, If you come upon me I hope you'll understand, I'll ask you for something, it's the law of the land, You can not pass till blood spills from your hands. It seems so crude my darling, my love, To take from you your essence, your blood, But this knife is itching to take my revenge, Be silent darling, while I send you to your end. ZOMBIES! AT THE DISCO Pick my heart up off the dance floor, Wipe this blood from my dress, Take your place in the background, And I'll deal with the rest, Play your guitar with a promise, Though your hearts filled with dread, I'll scream you this love song, While the shotgun's at your head, This dance floor is a graveyard, Where the classics die tonight, There's nothing like a scene, To make everything feel right, Line yourself in lace, Because the leather is to tight, I hear the decay in your voice, So let's end it here tonight, The band is getting tipsy, The lights are becoming dim, The dance floor is littered with corpses, Torn from limb to limb, So close my coffin door, Leave me to my lie, When the music starts to end, I swear I'll start to die.
