I know I say this every time (what can I say, I love concerts) but this was such an awesome show! I had never even heard of Dark New Day before the show but I fell in love with them instantly. The music was rocking, the vocals outstanding, and their stage presence was so strong, I don't even know if I blinked during their entire set! In fact, the very next day, we went out and got their CD. So yeah, go check them out if you don't know them! Here are pictures of 3 of them during the show (from left to right - Brett, the singer; Clint, one of the guitarists; Corey, the bassist) and our pictures with Corey afterwards, who I must say is probably one of the sweetest, friendliest band members I have ever met!! I wish I could tell you the setlist but like I said, this was the first I had seen of them so I didn't know any of the songs. Although I do know they sang "Brother"....and the most kick ass cover of Alice In Chain's "Man in the Box."

Next up was Crossfade. And it funny because this is the band I actually came to see (I had already seen Seether and I had never heard of Dark New Day) but it was the band I was least impressed with! Not that they were bad...they just weren't as good as Seether and Dark New Day! They did play a great mix of songs including crowd favorites "Cold", "Colors", "So Far Away", and "Starless". I know there were a bunch more but for some reason I cannot think of them....sorry!! They sounded good though, especially for a 3-piece band! They just didn't have that stage presence that makes you say "WOW, they kick ass". And when they got offstage, the singer and bassist walked right beside us with barely so much as a wave. Sorry, but that's just not the way you treat your fans that are there to support you!!! The drummer, James, however I've got to give credit to!! He was as nice as can be and hung out for quite a while after the show to chat with fans. I'm telling you guys, that makes a huge difference!!! Here is a picture of us with James as well as some live shots of singer, Ed, and bassist Mitch:

And last, but far from least was Seether...and let me tell you, they kicked fucking ass up there! I always liked Seether but I gained a whole new love for them after seeing this show. Now I've seen them once before and yes, they were good then, but they kicked ass now! Shaun's vocals are outstanding and they just all play so well together. They are energetic, jumping up and down, getting the crowd riled up and they make alot of eye contact! They make it clear that they are performing for you! They didn't do any Nirvana covers which was a little disappointing considering the eerie resemblence of Shaun and Kurt's voices but they did do an amazing rendition of the Deftone's "Change" which was jaw dropping. They also played Fine Again, Broken, Driven Under (my fav!!), Remedy, The Gift, Gasoline, Truth, Because of Me, and a few others that I can't remember (I know, I never remember EVERY song....I should start writing them down so I can provide you with an accurate setlist!!!). Anyway, here are some of their live shots - yeah, I know, they are mostly of Shaun! What can I say, he was the one standing in front of me! But I managed to sneak one of Dale, the bassist too!

And here are our after-show pictures with Seether!! And let me tell you this guys are just as awesome off-stage as they are on-stage! They didn't come out for a while after the show so we hung out with Shaun's brother who was probably the most amusing person I have ever met! I don't know if he was drunk or he's just naturally loopy but he was absolutely hysterical! He's in the first picture. Then we met the drummer, John (2nd picture), who was really nice. We didn't get to spend a lot of time with him but you could tell he was nice and trying to get to everyone! Then we met Shaun and Dale (3rd picture) who we actually hung out with for quite a while (much to the disappointment of everyone else waiting to meet them). They were soooo nice and ver chatty! And they had accents that just made you melt! So yeah, great night!!!
