But words alone cannot describe how phenomenal they are!!! Don't know who they are??? Then you need to check them out right now because you are seriously depriving yourself!!!

In the meantime, here are some pics and a quick review of the insanity that is a Suicide City show! I saw them play at Ziggy's in Winston-Salem, NC on 3/12/06. Now I've been to a lot of concerts before but I have never had as much fun as I did at this show. And the fact that this is probably the nicest band ever and that they hung out with us for a majority of the night, before and after they played, was a plus!! Billy came up and introduced himself when we first got there....we had corresponded on myspace before so he knew we were coming. He introduced us to the rest of the band, brought us some beer (how much of a gentleman is he??? He always opened the beers in front of us....I don't know why that impressed me but it did....I am very cautious about where I get my beers from!!), and We just hung out, drank, goofed off, and took lots of pictures (thank you Billy....you are a kick ass photographer!!!)!! It was like hanging out with my old high school friends even though we all just met. And it was really cool to see that the rest of the band was just as nice as he was!!
On stage, they were on fucking fire!! I have never seen so much energy in a band before in my life. And they have the most magnetic stage presence.From the second they walk out onto the stage, you are instantly mesmerized by the fierce power in their music. I don't think I've ever been that enthralled with a live band since Manson. What sucks is that there was only 18 people there (yeah, Karl counted them!). It was a Sunday night, pretty late, smack in the middle of the bible belt so it was to be expected. But you think that got them down? Fuck no!!! They played like they were playing for an arena of 10,000 people! Every one of them was jumping all over the place (except for Danny cuz its a little hard to jump around while playing the drums but don't think he didn't pound those bitches like a madman!!!). And believe me, they are not easy to photograph because of that...they don't sit still!!! They play with the most amazing psychotic intensity and every song grabs you by the soul and yanks hard. It was unbelievably impressive and extremely exhilerating. No one that sees them live will be the same!!! They blasted out all 5 songs on their album "Not My Year" and then some! Karl's flawless vocals are so packed with emotion, its bone chilling. And the energy that comes out of him is unbelievable. You can't take your eyes off him because you're constantly wondering what he's going to do next! Billy and AJ can shred the fuck out of their guitars like you wouldn't believe. Their notes are layered perfectly for some unforgettable riffs. And Billy's backup vocals really bring it all together. Jennifer is a smoking bass player. She plays with this sensual intensity that only a woman as harcore as her can do! And Danny may think he's hiding behind those drums but there's no missing his extreme talent in those flaring beats. We didn't get to see much of Karl's gymnastic abilities as it was a pretty small stage but we did get a nice backflip at the end. This is definitely a band I would never get tired of seeing.....I wish I could see them play every night!!! And if they ever play near you, you don't want to miss it! Every music lover needs to see this band play to be whole.
My brain is fried and I don't remember what order they were in but the songs were Diemonds, Fuck Your Dreams (its a good thing I had shorts under my skirt cuz this song had me jumping all over the place!!!), Undone, Marching Backwords, Give Me Your Pity, Painted Horses, Cutter, and the most wicked cover of Burn by The Cure. The highlights that made my night were when Karl let me sing the chorus of Undone with him....yeah buddy!!! That's my favorite song on the album so that was a real thrill! And who wouldn't want to hold Karl's microphone??? 8-O. Then Billy pulled me up onstage during Painted Horses which is my favorite song not on the album so they are really good at making memorable moments during favorite songs!!! He tried to get Kristin up there too but she's not nearly as much of a dork (or has as much to drink....she was driving) as me!! Can I just tell you though how thrilling it is to know I was onstage with these rock Gods...and Goddess!!! No words can descirbe it. Then, just when I thought this night couldn't get any better, Karl dedicated Burn to me and whether or not he dedicates that song to a different person every night, I will forever adore him for that!!! You hear me Karl???? You rock my world!!!! That goes for you too Billy!!!! And Aj, and Danny, and Jennifer!!! You are all so fucking awesome!! Thank you for the most fun concert ever!! You will always have a place to crash in NC! And if I ever see you in NY, you better remember me!! LOL

This is one of those "you had to be there" pictures. He was under this spot light making these butterfly movements with his hands, looking all angelic....but you just can't capture that on film I guess / But I was able to capture him just before he fell off the skateboard!!! LOL
