INTRO
So you want to know a little about me? Well, that is a pretty broad subject. I will try and keep it as simple as possible so I don't bore you. Let me just tell you that you can find out the most about me by talking to me...it's much easier and I promise I don't bite...well, not usually. I can be found with AOL Instant Messenger at StargazrJo or Yahoo Instant Messenger at Stargazer_Jo. Please, send me a message. I'd love to chat. Or you can look me up on MySpace at www.myspace.com/stargazer999. Also, you can learn a lot about me by reading my poetry or by checking out my celebrity hotties!

STATS
My name is JoAnna and I am 30 years old. I am married and we have a 10 year old daughter named Kayla. Although I live in North Carolina right now, I am originally from New York. My husband used to be in the military and was stationed here in NC. After he got out we decided to stay and raise our daughter here rather than in NY. He's a fire fighter and I am an office manager of a company that sets up golf vacations. The other members of our family include a Rottweiler named Dante, a Chow mix named Cody, and a cat named CoCo. My extended family at work includes 2 cats, Theron and Winter, a rat named Templeton, and 2 unnamed betta fish.

HOBBIES
If it involves music, its for me! Music is my life...and so are concerts! I spend entirely too much time on myspace. And if you've browsed this site already then I guess you know I write. I love to write poetry. Most of my work is morbid. I'm not sure why but I kind of like it that way. I have always been drawn to the darkside so writing about it has opened a new side of my writing that I really enjoy. Especially since love poems bore me! I also love to read, watch TV and movies, etc. Hmmm, I sound pretty lazy!!! I don't do much by way of physical activities except for my daily workout. I do a weekly mix of Tae Bo (even the laziest of people can get off their ass for Billy Blanks!!), Windsor Pilates (how can you not like a workout where you spend most of the time lying on the floor!!), Gunnar Peterson's Core Secrets with Brooke Burke (the one with the big ball), and Carmen Electra's Strip Aerobics (well I need something to keep me motivated!). So I guess I'm not so lazy afterall!

MUSIC
I am very much into music....it is one of my biggest passions. I find music simply entrancing and my day is just not complete without it....which is why you will NEVER see me without my iPod!!! I can get so absorbed in songs and just kind of space out or have my mood completely altered by them...it's weird. But that's how I do a lot of my writing. I mostly listen to rock/metal but I like a lot of the stuff on the radio too. I'll pretty much listen to anything except rap...I can't stomach rap at all (except Eminem...I love him...lol). And I don't like country music either except for a VERY small handful of songs. My biggest obsession is Suicide City! They are an unsigned band from NYC that I met on myspace. They are such amazing people and put on the most phenomenal live show I have ever seen. I think everyone should see at least one Suicide City show in their lifetime. My next biggest obsession is Marilyn Manson. Despite of what a majority of the world thinks of him, I think he's very intelligent, articulate and has some amazing views on life (if you're open-minded enough to listen). I also think anyone that read his autobiography might agree with me!! My other favorites in no particular order are My Chemical Romance, As Summer Dies, Aiden, Gary Numan, Kill Hannah, Placebo, 30 Seconds to Mars, The Birthday Massacre, Mindless Self Indulgence, Madina Lake, Strata, Lacuna Coil, King Diamond, Mercyful Fate, Billy Talent, A Perfect Circle, Tool, Evanescence, H.I.M., AFI, Green Day, Bauhaus, David Bowie, Alkaline Trio, Your Favorite Enemies, Nick Black, Matchbook Romance, Jeffree Star, Deadstar Assembly, The Vincent Black Shadow, Chevelle, Cradle of Filth, The Killers, Lourds, Panic at the Disco, Muse, Collide, Finch, Linkin Park, Disturbed, Staind, Type O Negative, Coal Chamber, Pink Floyd, Nine Inch Nails, Stabbing Westward, Ours, Queensryche, Iced Earth, The Cure, Dimmu Borgir, Rob Zombie, Eminem, Deftones, Hole, Ozzy Osbourne, Black Sabbath, Aerosmith, Midnight Syndicate, Reggie and the Full Effect, Red Jumpsuit Apparatus, Bullet for My Valentine, The 69 Eyes, Slunt, System of a Down, Nightwish, and about a million others that I can't think of right now. OH!!! Of course I like some of the old classic rockers too like REO Speedwagon, Tom Petty, Foreigner, stuff like that. I won't even get into bands that have one or two songs I like because thats another 10 million. Then we move on to anything born in the 80's. I am a child of the 80's and that stuff is just irreplacable. It's like part of the soundtrack of my life. There will never be another musical era like that. From "one-hit-wonder" songs like "Take on Me" and "Melt With You" to the those 80's rock bands/"hair bands" like Skid Row, Poison, Guns-N-Roses, Motley Crue, Slaughter, Bon Jovi, etc. Man, those guys sang the anthems of teen life as we lived it. Nothing compares to the feeling of listening to one of those obnoxious long-haired rockers scream while drifting into flashbacks of the days back then. Absolutely priceless. And yes, I still listen to it all....and very often too. But I'd better shut up now before someone comes with the straight jacket and locks me up. Let's just say music is a big part of my life and without it, I would probably just fade away.

MOVIES
My most favorite movie in the whole world is The Rocky Horror Picture Show (I always loved transvestites too...lol). I've seen it a few hundred times (no exaggeration) and never get sick of it. I used to always say I would perform it on stage one day but I never did. Unless a table counts....I did that once. But I have never performed it for an audiance bigger than 10 people. My other most favorite movie is Tim Burton's Nightmare Before Christmas! I love horror movies too (big surprise huh?). Anything with vampires obviously, or the Devil and/or his minions, ghosts, creatures being conjured up, heaven vs. Hell plots, serial killers, blood and gore, etc. I think you get the point. Some of my favorite movies (in no particular order) are Saw I, II, and III, Transformers, all 3 Pirates of the Caribbean, all 3 Lord of the Rings, all the Harry Potters, The Princess Bride, Silence of the Lambs, The Crow, all 3 Spidermans, Girl Interupted, 300, Moulan Rouge, Interview with the Vampire, Benny and Joon, Edward Scissorhands, Dances with Wolves, The Prophecy, The Breakfast Club, Blade, A Knights Tale, The Patriot, Clue, Children of the Corn, The Ring, The Grudge, Texas Chainsaw Massacre, all the Halloween movies, the Friday the 13th movies, and the Nightmare on Elm Street movies, Monty Python and the Holy Grail, Hellraiser, Pink Floyd's The Wall, A Clockwork Orange, Bram Stoker's Dracula, Labrynth, and a whole bunch of others I can't think of right now.

BOOKS
Yes, I love to read. I usually only read horror/suspense/vampire novels and occasionally fantasy books but I am always open to recommendations. My all time favorite book of course is Marilyn Manson's autobiography, The Long Hard Road Out of Hell. I also really love Clockwork Orange by Anthony Burgess, The Complete Works of Edgar Allen Poe, Dante's Inferno, The Necroscope series by Brian Lumley, The Harry Potter books (oh yes, I am a HUGE Harry Potter fan), Gifted Trust by John Paul Allen, anything by Dean Koontz, Stephen King, Terry Brooks, or Anne Rice. I sometimes like criminal law books too (I have read all of Patricia Cornwell's books).

TV (current shows)
There are still a few shows I love that still run. My favorite is Nip/Tuck!! The things they get away with on TV...lol. This show is awesome though (if you can make it through the gory surgery scenes). Its brilliantly written and there's just something very sexy about Christian, in a player sort of way! Veroncia Mars is another of my favorites! Its so great! Its about a very good looking high school girl whose father is a private detective and she helps him out alot. She used to be with the in crowd but now most of the school hates her after her best friend was murdered and her dad accused the girls father (who's like the most prestigious guy in town) so there is always a lot of drama and teen angst. And then there's the ever-so-creepy Lost, which I'm sure more than half the world knows about now! And "House", the medical drama about a team of doctors led my the King of bitter sarcasm, Dr. House. This is perhaps one of the most brilliantly written shows out there right now. Then there's "24" with Keifer Sutherland (I love him). And The Shield! Very cool cop show with tons of drama and backstabbing! And Rescue Me, the fire fighter show on FX is great too. You really can't go wrong with FX shows! I also love the Real World and Road Rules....and better yet, the Real World / Road Rules challenges where they go against each other performing crazy Fear Factor-like stunts! I also have a passion for wrestling. I'm going to partially blame my husband for that cuz he was always watching it and then I accidentally started following the "story line" and the I got hooked. I'll also blame my friend Christina too for turning me onto the Hardy Boys, who I found to be absolutely amazing in the ring. They a few miles from me and she went to school with them and they are all still really close, etc. To make a short story long, I took her to a Manson concert and who should we run into there but her friends, the Hardy Boyz and Shannon Moore (I had no idea who any of them even were). So we all hung out, had a great time (they were so much fun), and I left promising to watch wrestling the next night to see them fight. Of course then I started watching it every night....until the dreaded roster split. I stopped watching after that. Every once in a while if I am flipping through the channels, I'll stop to watch someone I like but other than that, I'll keep my memories of the way it was! Some of my other favorites are Medium, Bones, Invasion, and the Ghost Whisperer. Yeah, I watch a lot of TV!

TV (canceled shows)
Almost every show I have ever loved has been canceled. I was a huge Roswell addict. That show was so cool. I curse the pricks that canceled it. There's just something magical about it and the way Max and Liz looked at each other. And no, it has nothing to so with Jason Behr's good looks....lol...ok, maybe just a little. One of my other favorite shows that just sort of disappeared is MTV's "FEAR". It was like "Real World" filmed in the Amityville Horror house!! Yeah baby! I used to watch it everytme it was on but it hasn't been on for a long time now. Let's see, I also loved Buffy and Angel (like every other vampire fan). Although I was very sad to see them come to an end, they really ended them with flair. It was great! Then there was the beloved Kindred: The Embraced. With all the vampire fans out there, I can't believe it didn't last. Thankfully, you can get it on DVD now though. There was also Tru Calling. It actually came back this year for a few episodes before being pulled again. And that was such a great show!! Not only do I love biazrre plots about dead people talking but I love Eliza Dushku too. Miracles was another one of those creepy the-dead-talk-me shows (and Skeet Ulrich was phenomenal in it). Those shows are just too freaky for regular TV. I'm surpised FX or SciFi didn't pick it up though because it was very well written. Lastly, there was American Gothic, another creepy show that TV just couldn't handle. I wish I ran a TV station, I'd keep all those cool but rejected freaky shows!!! Aside from the weird supernatural shows, I was a big Dawson's Creek fan (yeah, so I have a few guilty pleasures). When they had its final episode I bawled through the whole thing. They really did a good job with that ending too although I was very sad to know it wasn't going to ever be on again. I was really connected with that show. I also used to love Felicity (yeah, I'm a sucker for all those teen angst shows). That lasted quite a few seasons! Keri Russel is awesome! Like I said, alot of the shows I like get pulled!! Except Battle for Ozzfest! That was a legitimate ending! It was a reality show about 8 people (one from each of 8 bands) competing for a spot on next years Ozzfest tour! As obsessed with metal as I am, I loved this show. There was a lot of footage of Ozzfest and I just think its a great idea for a reality show! I am hoping that will come back again one year! Another "reality show" I am hoping will come back is Mad Mad House....that was one of the most highly addicting reality show I've ever seen. They had 5 "Alts" (a vampire, a witch, a voodoo priestess, a naturist, and a modern primitive) and 10(?) regular guests all living in a house together. Every week the alts would make up challenges for the guests and then eliminate one afterwards. Whoever was left at the end of the 2-3 months (I forget how long it was) won $100,000. The alts (as well as the guests) were awesome....you couldn't help but get attached to them and want to see what happened next. I really hope they bring that show back soon too!

MISCELLANEOUS
If you've read my poetry, you obviously know I have a major thing for vampires. Who knows where that ever came from. I was like that even when I was younger. I always read books or watched movies on vampires, witches, black magic (never practiced it though), satansism (never practiced that either), cults, etc. I love anything related to the paranormal, hauntings and ghosts. I watch all those documentaries about haunted places. That stuff kicks ass. I also love Living Dead Dolls. Click Here to see my small but growing collection. And tattoos! I love tattoos! CLICK HERE to see mine!

BYE!
OK, well if you've made it this far, I congratulate you. You now know more about me than most people do. But, although I am sure there is more to tell, I am totally drawing a blank. Maybe one day I'll think of some more stuff but I don't exactly live the most exciting life. Just work stuff, home stuff, and some playing in between. But hey, send me a message or an e-mail. It's much easier to ramble when you have some one to do it with so I might actually have something more exciting to say at that time. I just love to meet new and interesting people and I would also love to know what you thought of my site. Thanks for coming!!
